Terms of Service

Effective July 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Bouba LLC ("Bouba," "Dibs," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of Dibs, including our website, mobile application, subscriptions, notifications, and related services.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Dibs, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Dibs.

Eligibility

Dibs is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and located in the United States. You may not use Dibs if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

What Dibs Does

Dibs provides software tools that help users create a search profile, search participating unclaimed-property sources, review potential matches, open official claim routes, and track claim progress. Dibs does not hold, transfer, distribute, or pay unclaimed property.

You are responsible for reviewing any potential match and submitting any claim yourself through the applicable official site or claim administrator. Dibs does not file claims for you, act as your attorney, act as your agent, enter into a power of attorney, or guarantee that any property belongs to you or will be paid.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Search Profiles and Household Members

You agree to provide accurate information when creating a search profile, including names and addresses. If you add a household member or share household search results, you represent that you have permission or another lawful basis to provide and use that person's information through Dibs. Household members must submit their own claims through official claim sites.

Subscriptions and App Store Purchases

Some Dibs features require a paid subscription. Subscription plans, pricing, billing intervals, renewal terms, and included features are shown before purchase. Purchases in the iOS app are processed by Apple through the App Store. Dibs uses RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions, receipts, restores, and entitlements.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings. If you cancel, you may keep access to paid features until the end of the paid subscription period unless Apple or applicable law provides otherwise.

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Dibs does not control Apple's refund decisions. Deleting your Dibs account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription.

No Success Fees

Dibs charges for software features, not for a percentage of recovered property. We do not charge a success fee, bounty, or "pay when you get paid" fee.

No Guarantees

Dibs may show potential matches, estimates, confidence levels, value ranges, source states, and claim routes based on available data. This information may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, duplicated, unavailable, or belong to another person with a similar name or address history. Official claim administrators make claim decisions, not Dibs.

Official Sites and Third-Party Services

Dibs may route you to MissingMoney, state unclaimed-property sites, claim administrators, app stores, payment processors, notification providers, and other third-party services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, privacy practices, claim decisions, or payment decisions.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Dibs for unlawful, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.
• Provide information you are not authorized to provide.
• Use Dibs to impersonate another person or claim property that is not yours.
• Interfere with, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt Dibs.
• Bypass paywalls, access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
• Copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Dibs without our permission.

Intellectual Property

Dibs, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Bouba LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Dibs for your own lawful personal use.

Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using Dibs, you agree that we may collect and use information as described there.

Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Dibs at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Dibs or others, or if we discontinue all or part of the service. Termination does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; you must manage subscriptions through Apple.

Disclaimers

Dibs is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bouba LLC disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bouba LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost property, or business interruption arising out of or related to Dibs or these Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Dibs in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.

Changes to Dibs or These Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue Dibs or any feature. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use of Dibs after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Apple Terms

If you download Dibs from the App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a custom end user license agreement applies. Apple is not responsible for Dibs or its content.
