Can I search for free myself?
Yes. Official searches are free, and Dibs will always tell you that. But every state runs its own site, each name and old address is a separate search, and nothing tracks what you filed or when you last searched. Dibs runs one wide search, explains why a result may be yours, and keeps every claim organized in one place.
What kinds of money can Dibs help find?
Potential records may include uncashed checks, refunds, deposits, rebates, insurance proceeds, dormant balances, and other property an organization could not return.
Does Dibs file claims for me?
No. Dibs helps you discover, understand, and track possible matches. You review and submit each claim through the participating aggregator or official state site.
Why do old addresses matter?
Property is often reported to the state where you lived when the company lost contact with you. Past addresses help Dibs search and rank results more accurately.
Can I search for family members?
Household search is planned for Dibs but has not shipped yet. When it does, family members will still claim property in their own names through official sites.
